Kathryn Nicholson, our Lay Chaplain, has been a member of the North Shore Unitarians (NSU) since 1987. She was our Music Director for 14 years and has since served in many other leadership roles at NSU. Kathryn worked as a Registered Nurse and Clinical Counsellor in Palliative and Hospice Care for 30 years. Now retired, she feels privileged to serve NSU as our Lay Chaplain.
Kathryn works with individuals, couples, and families to create unique and memorable ceremonies reflecting the personal needs, tastes, and backgrounds of those involved.
Kathryn has been trained and accredited by the Canadian Unitarian Council and is licensed by BC’s Vital Statistics Agency to perform marriages, funerals, memorial services, and other types of ceremonies to mark significant life transitions. Kathryn is available to officiate ceremonies at NSU or off-site at any location in the Lower Mainland.
