Wedding planning includes finding the perfect venue and officiant for your ceremony.
We are happy to help with either or both of these things.
venue
Our beautiful Sanctuary seats about 150 people. With high ceilings, art glass windows, and natural wood flooring, it provides the perfect backdrop for your wedding. Seating is comfortable, with wide, padded chairs that can be arranged to suit your needs. Our sound system includes several microphone options and a loop system for those with hearing issues. You’re invited to use our projector and large screen for a slide show before, during, or after your wedding. When it’s time for your reception, our Fireside Room (downstairs) is perfect, seating up to 80 people or so.
officiant
Our provincially-licensed Lay Chaplain will be honoured to officiate your wedding (on site or at an offsite venue on the North Shore). She will partner with you to create a joyful, transformative and memorable experience that reflects what is meaningful to you. As Unitarians, we are experts at integrating diverse traditions into ceremonies. We combine our experience and time-honoured resources with creative input that expresses your values and uniqueness.
Our Lay Chaplain is trained by our national organization, the Canadian Unitarian Council, and is registered to perform marriages in British Columbia.
